Inspired by the primordial waters from which life first emerged, these images inhabit a world where darkness is fertile, where chaos creates new forms, and where beauty arises from uncertainty.

Meet the artist
Charlotte Bories is an award-winning French fine art photographer whose artwork explores the dreamlike possibilities of the underwater world.
Deeply inspired by the Old Masters of art history, she creates surreal aquatic imagery with a painterly touch that blur the boundary between photography and painting.
Working almost exclusively below the surface, on one breath, she uses water as a gateway to unseen realms, where inner landscapes, surreal visions, and quiet emotions emerge from the depths.
